I am Matt. Welcome to my blog. It is going to follow both my technical and horticulture escapades.
This blog is hosted at DigitalOcean, and the first of the two arms of this blog will cover my attempts at setting up a high-availability cluster of DigitalOcean Droplets. The first goal is to have this blog running on a cluster with no single point of failure. This entails having two web-servers, and two load-balancers. One of each will be the primary, with each failing-over to the backup system when a failure is detected.
The second arm of the blog will follow my attempts at growing plants for my garden. Most of these plants will be grown from seed, and most will be vegetables, but there will also be some flowers. So far, I have sunflowers, poppies, and fennelall growing from seedin my front garden; and potatoes, runner beans, courgettes, and strawberries growing in my back garden. I also have various herbs and flowers that I have been growing from seed indoors, which I will talk more about in a future blog post.
